Do you know someone that is ALWAYS planning for the next thing? It’s June and they’re texting about what your Thanksgiving plans are? Maybe they’re already sending you screenshots of vacation ideas for summer 25′ or asking you what outfit you’re planning to wear to the unit hail and farewell that’s scheduled for next month. Well, I have a confession to make: It’s me, I’m that someone. It drives my family insane.

What’s the cost?
A standard Epic Season Pass is currently priced at $982 (ages 13yrs+) and $501 (ages 5-12) but the Military pass is only $172 for active duty/retired and dependents (ages 5+) for the 2024-2025 ski season.
Veterans and their dependents still receive a nice discount at $561 (ages 18+) and $300 (ages 5-17).
If you are familiar to the world of skiing (or boarding) you don’t need someone to tell you what a great deal this is but if you’re unfamiliar, let me break it down for you:
Ticket prices vary by resort and time of year but the example I have is for 1 adult with a 1 day pass for Keystone, Co. You can find yourself paying $195 for a weekday and $225 for a weekend! Are you seeing what I’m seeing….your one pass pays for itself in ONE DAY!
My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids over the age of 5) went to Keystone for Christmas this past year (yay for no holiday black outs!) and skied 5 days. The total without a pass, if we purchased each ticket daily would have been over $3k. Even a 5 day pass would have easily set us close to $2.5k. Instead, we purchased our passes over the summer for a total of $640.95 (prices went up for this season) and were able to ski that week plus the rest of the season at any of the resorts mentioned above. Sadly we don’t live in Colorado so we weren’t able to go as often as I like but I was able to squeeze in a girls trip to Vail in February and the lift ticket price the day I was there was over $250 per person for one day!

Other benefits:
If the price alone didn’t convince you, here are some other benefits included with your Military Pass:
- 20% discounts on rentals, ski school, and lodging.
- Each Military Epic Pass offers Ski-With-A-Friend Tickets. This includes 6 discounted, single-day lift tickets for friends and family. They vary in price based on when you visit.
- Passes purchased in the spring will also get summer access passes for summer 23!
How to Purchase:
If you are a current or former member of the military or a dependent of an active duty member or a veteran, you qualify for these passes. This includes the national guard and reserves, as well as all branches of the US military. There is a military status verification process within the checkout process.
